AB 1910 – What Can You Do?

UPDATE: A new bill has been introduced (AB 1910) that is the same as AB 672.

AB 1910 – What Can You Do?

Assembly Bill 1910, appropriately dubbed the ‘Public Golf Endangerment Act’ by the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) proposes to convert municipally owned golf courses to affordable housing, and would appropriate $50 million to incentivize local governments to do so.

It is not hyperbole to suggest that AB 1910 is the most serious threat to public golf in the state’s history, and the ability of the golf industry to defeat the proposal is likely to hinge on how successful we are in organizing and motivating large numbers of golfers to voice their opposition to the bill.

We urge you to review our resources that:

• Discuss the key points of AB 1910
• Provide strategies to make it convenient for your golfers to voice their opposition
• Answer questions about the bill
