GCSASC is very saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of Ryan Bentley, Superintendent at Birnam Wood Golf Club in Montecito.
Ryan was an active member in GCSASC, and began his position at Birnam Wood in October 2021 following a tenure of more than 17 years at North Ranch Country Club. Prior to North Ranch, he worked at The Ridge Golf Course and North Ridge Country Club, both in Northern California, as well serving as an Assistant Superintendent at The Valley Club of Montecito.
Friends and co-workers of Ryan noted his knowledge, optimism, humor, and work ethic.
